100% of the electronics we collect are recycled. Our electronics are recycled as follows:
All of our televisions, computer monitors, computers, printers, copiers, keyboards, consumer electronics, etc. are recycled in a similar manner. Each unit is either shredded or hand dismantled. The materials are then either seperated for reuse or returned to their base material. For example, steel goes to a steel mill, copper to a copper smelter or foundry. Once the interior of the devices are thoroughly stripped of all metals, any plastic cases are seperated by plastic type such as HIPS & ABS and then baled to be shipped for regrind and reuse.
We ensure the safety of our customers against identity theft or other types of fraud. All of the electronics we collect that contain information, such as hard drives, are either entirely erased and reformatted onsite or sent to a facility in Roseville, CA to be shredded. No data can be retrieved from any recycled material and we can even provide a certificate of destruction if desired.
